Bottas and Cadillac
It’s been a big 12 months for Valtteri Bottas. Since he last participated in the Adelaide Motorsport Festival, the 10-time F1 Grand Prix winner became, along with Mexican Sergio Perez, the first drivers signed to Cadillac's Formula 1 team. Bottas said that it could be a testing start to life in Formula 1 for the new team, saying that they don’t have a fast car yet.

Mike Whiddet, or Mad Mike, has spent 18 years drifting cars round all kinds of race tracks. This weekend, he tackled the Adelaide Motorsport Festival. He originally brought his car, the Mad Mac, but mechanical problems in the gearbox forced that car out of the event. However, the New Zealander had another of his cars waiting in the wings.
