Growing up in a conservative household from a foreign culture, expressing my feelings through any means was never encouraged, and it simply wasn't part of our culture. However, skateboarding has had such a profound impact on my life that I feel compelled to share my story; this is how serious this s*** has changed my life.

The first South Australian round of UN Youth Australia's 2023 Evatt Competition just took place at Flinders University on May 29th. As Australia’s premier diplomacy competition, Evatt engages students in Years 9-12 in important issues of contemporary global politics, and helps them develop skills in negotiation, teamwork, and public speaking.

The woman slept in front of a wall. The clack of a brick falling to the ground woke her up. Each brick that made the wall had something inscribed on it. The woman picked up the fallen brick and saw what was written.

I first found out about Hub when it was being developed back in 2021 and I thought it was a really cool platform! A site built for young people, by young people. At the end of 2022, I wanted to branch out a little into different mediums of voicing my opinions, which prompted me to become a Journalist and Research Intern.

Hub’s Tabitha Stephenson-Jones sat down with 21-year-old Kristian Latella, up-and-coming actor and visual effects student, to hear all about his role in the Hills Musical Company's current production of Kiss Me, Kate.

I was recently lucky enough to have a chat with Callum Barrott-Walsh, a young community advocate and political staffer, to find out how he got involved in the change-making space, what his future plans are, and to hear his advice for other young people within SA.

Many Councils within SA have their own versions of a ‘Youth Advisory Committee’ (or YAC) that you can get involved with.

As humans, we never stop learning. There is always going to be something we don’t know, it’s just impossible to know everything. The phrase ‘You learn something new every day’, is especially true, but who are we learning things from?

“One bottle will have no impact.” Now visualise Earth’s population, instantaneously a critical number of seven billion bottles have materialised. Human impact is literal and the actions that proceed from now are crucial. Currently, our present and previous generations have contributed to awful and growing issues.

A prominent concern of our era is occupied by the critical controversy of climate change. Scientists are attempting to alert us that immediate measures against it need to be adopted to prevent catastrophic consequences. Recently, in April 2022, a frantic association of four NASA scientists united together to exert the importance of climate change.

Zachary O’Donnell is a seventeen-year-old Kamilaroi (Gamilaraay) person stemming from Coonabarabran, New South Wales. Zachary grew up in a small community called Tennant Creek in the Northern Territory, and he is currently residing in Adelaide (on Kaurna Country) to complete his studies, whilst running a successful art profile under the name Marayn Arts.
