Nina Canala is a contemporary artist currently working as a graphic designer in Adelaide’s CBD while also completing freelance illustration projects in her spare time.

If there’s one statement that’s been thrown around excessively during the pandemic that’s turned 2020 upside down, it’s “I can’t wait for things to get back to normal.”

Isabelle Raven (she/they) is a multi-skilled creative with a current focus in graphic design, digital art and print media. They are currently studying Graphic Design and is this years Verse head Graphic Designer.

An ocean of children toppled down the hill, all searching for one thing. An Easter egg! Little kids bounced around in joy holding heaps of egg-shaped chocolates wrapped in foil, but then, all of a sudden, the little children began to cry.

A few months ago, I turned sixteen, and every parent knows what that means: watch out Adelaide, I am learning to drive. As a sixteen-year-old, I have a myriad of responsibilities. At sixteen, I can learn to drive, I pay tax, I can work, register as an organ donor and even apply to join the Australian military. However, despite all of this responsibility, at sixteen, I am not allowed to vote.

With the recent quarantines and social isolation across the globe, we have all come to a startling realisation; the environment is already bouncing back. It turns out than when people are staying inside, without using their cars, excess resources or energy; when mass production of everything and anything we could ask for has ground to a halt, the environment benefits.

The Winter Olympics have been exhilarating with Norway in number one with 16 gold medals, 8 silvers and 13 bronze medals. Australia came 18th with 1 gold medal, 2 silvers and a bronze medal. Australian freestyle skier Jakarta Anthony won the gold medal for women's moguls on the 6th of February.

Any good friend shall always stick up for you

Imagine being locked up in a tiny cage with no room for movement trapped, restricted, enclosed, with no way of ever escaping. Having absolutely no control of any aspect of your life and most of all, having not even the slightest bit of freedom.
