If you’re looking for something fun, interactive, explosive, and downright breathtaking, you need to see Afrique en Cirque!

Originating from the rich roots of Guinea, Afrique en Cirque, a performance by Kalabanté Productions and director Yamoussa Bangoura, will leave you absolutely gobsmacked. During this incredible circus spectacular, you will witness the beauty, youth, artistry, fashion and many more elements that create West African Culture. Through this one-hour performance, you will see a rich cultural history taught through not just astonishing acrobatics, but also some genuinely incredible comedy.

Through the show, we the audience, are taken on an adventure like no other. With the performers on stage, we get to see everything. From the crazy inflated prices of goods, to fishing in the night, and even some raunchy construction work, no stone is left unturned.

Within all these performances, we see an incredibly talented group of people, who from start to end, deliver and excellence in everything from the acrobatics, dance, physical comedy, and more!

Beyond, each performance carried this captivating energy, pulling the crowd only further in. Around me, people participated in activity after activity, from long clapping sessions to music, throwing items, and much more that can only be experienced in person.

As you leave this show, you will feel an immense sense of energy. Everything — from the crowd to the death-defying performances — and just rich culture alone is enough to keep anyone buzzing for hours to come.

If you could only see one show this Fringe season, then make it Afrique en Cirque!
