hubadl.com is an initiative of the Commissioner for Children & Young People (the CCYP) located at 251 Morphett Street, Adelaide, South Australia 5000, ABN 60168401578.

hubadl.com is an online space where young South Australians aged 15-22 years, can get information, discover resources, and share their own ideas and content.

‘hubadl.com’ and all CCYP originated material contained therein is the intellectual property of the CCYP who has copyright over materials including:

Contributor Guidelines

·     Contributors must be aged between 15 and 22 to submit their work. 

·        Any submission containing content that is discriminatory, encourages crime or violence, is pornographic, or is otherwise overtly offensive will not be accepted at the discretion of the Hub editing team and the CCYP. 

·        Any content that the audience might find distressing must be flagged with a content warning at the beginning of the piece. Video content must have a two second warning embedded in the beginning of the video.

·        Submissions must be the work of the contributors. (Collaborative work is accepted, however, all members must be credited and 50% or more of the group must be between the ages of 15 and 22.)

·        Accompanying images to written pieces must have artist credits attached.

·        Submissions that have been previously published elsewhere will not be accepted, however, there is no exclusive restriction on any author’s right to publish their work elsewhere in addition to hubadl.com

·        Please follow the recommended submission length:

o   Written - 250 to 1000 words

o   Video/song - 5 mins.

·        Hub will not publish your email address alongside submissions. You can request that your piece is published with your first name only or anonymously.

Material from Third Parties

Most of the material on this website has been submitted, paraphrased, or is linked to third party providers/authors.

Efforts have been made to properly attribute third party authors of submitted content at every point throughout the site. If there is any oversight due to human error, please contact us by email at CommissionerCYP@sa.gov.au so that we may seek to correct it.

Most submitted content is provided under a Creative Commons Attribution NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 international licence.

Where material was shared via a Creative Commons Attribution NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 international licence, that same license applies to any user of the information on this site.

Privacy and Security

This site collects and uses the following information from users in the standard way:

The user’s IP address, the date and time of the visit to the site, the pages accessed and documents downloaded, the previous website visited and the type of browser used. No attempt will be made to identify users or their browsing activities, except in the unlikely event of an investigation where a law enforcement agency may exercise a warrant to inspect our service provider’s logs. This information is analysed to determine the site’s usage statistics.

The CCYP uses Google Analytics to monitor traffic and user behaviour on this website. Personal information is not recorded as part of this process. However, if you wish to prevent your data from being collected by Google Analytics you can install a browser add-on.

The site does retain the email address of people who use the Hub Content Submission form so that we can send a response. These email addresses are stored securely and are used for any other purpose, nor disclosed without your consent.

You should note that there are inherent risks associated with transmission of information via the Internet. It is important that you assess the potential risks to the security of your information when making a decision as to whether or not you should use this site.

The content of this privacy and security statement may be updated from time to time, so we suggest that if you return to this site on a regular basis you carefully read the information provided.
