International Women’s Day 2025
March 8th is quite literally ‘for the girls’ - a day that recognises women for everything that they are and have the potential to be.
Today is an opportunity for us to celebrate women, past and present, who have challenged the status quo and as a result, created the foundations for gender equality.
Today we loudly celebrate women’s achievements; the ones which have faced backlash, those that have not been applauded and ones which have finally succeeded.
Today we reflect and refocus on our shared goal of bridging the gender gap.
Ahead of International Women’s Day this year, I had the privilege of heading out into the community and listening to the perspectives of several South Australian women.
So to Meredith, Chloe, Yeryn, Haylee, Valerie N., Valerie F., Rachel, Jorja, Cari, Kiya and Adela; thank you for sharing the highs and lows of womanhood, and entrusting myself and Hub to share your hopes for the future.
Change continues with us and together we can #accelerateaction.
